Position: Optimization Expert 2G/3G/4G/5G radio networks (SRAN)

Essential duties and responsibilities:

For our client, a large global telco company, we are hiring an Expert in RAN Optimizing of mobile phone networks. This position is suitable for EU residents.

The tasks range from monitoring the radio interface via statistical data and measurements in the field and at customers, to parameterizing the RAN system components and interfaces to the core, to error localization on RAN components and cooperation with colleagues from different areas of the Group, in order to sustainably increase the customer experience e2e.

You optimize and monitor RAN and do independent remote analyzes and, if necessary, the solution and documentation of errors or error patterns in the network with various tools (KPIs, traces, OMC,...).
You are responsible for analysis through measurements and on-site tests (drive & walk tests with the appropriate measuring system).
You work intensively on various projects and challenges with colleagues from Optimization, Core and Field Force.
You are constantly in contact with customers, both remotely in writing and verbally and, if necessary, personally on site.
You are responsible for East or West or South region of Austria.

Other requirements:

You have successfully completed a (technical) university degree or an HTL degree in the field of electrical engineering, communications engineering, information technology or a comparable qualification with many years of professional experience.

You have experience in the field of telecommunications and here especially in the operational environment of mobile phone networks. You have a high degree of technical understanding and enthusiasm for new ITC technologies and products with a strong will to shape the mobile voice and data radio applications of today and tomorrow.

You have a class B driver's license, are free from heights and vertigo & look forward to contact with customers, other infrastructure operators, construction companies, suppliers and authorities.
You follow regular working hours, but also like to work on standby occasionally on weekends and public holidays as well as at major events, events and system changes outside of the standard working hours.
Good knowledge of German and English is mandatory.

This gives you additional points
You have a high level of spatial and geographical understanding and ideally have knowledge of GIS tools such as QGIS.
Nokia experience an advantage.
